Puritan Sketches is a devotional/concert work composed by Donald Bradley Kelley comprised of 12 songs scored for mixed chorus with chamber accompaniment. The texts are based on the meditations, prayers and other devotional writings of Richard Baxter, John Bunyan, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Isaac Watts, and other Puritan writers as collected in "The Valley of Vision", published by the Banner of Truth Trust.
"Like you, I have lived in The Valley of Vision for years, and now to hear your handiwork fleshing out texts which encapsulate the gamut of the Christian experience -- from the triumphant to the torturous, is breathtaking."
- Stephen Nielson

"I listened to the cd you gave me on the way home, and thought it was certainly in the Puritan spirit. It was dignified, reverent, biblical, and worthy of God. Thank you for putting all those elements together."
